Thomas Cain, 82, from Franklin, is facing charges after pointing a cocked, loaded revolver at his neighbors and threatening them during a visit at his Sugarcreek Borough home. Franklin state police responded to a call early Thursday morning, where a man reported that Cain had threatened him and his 16-year-old son after they helped Cain load tires onto his truck. While showing old photos at his home, Cain became irate over a missing flashlight, drew a revolver, and made threats. The man managed to calm Cain down, and they found the flashlight in the kitchen. Cain was charged with aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of children, terroristic threats, and reckless endangerment. His preliminary hearing is set for July 17.
