Man accused of entering residence without permission

From staff reports

A Franklin man is facing a felony charge for entering a woman’s residence in Oil City on Sunday without her permission.

Oil City police said in a criminal complaint the woman called police after she woke up at about 2 a.m. Sunday to see an “older male” later identified by police as Jason Miller, 38, standing in her Central Avenue residence staring at her while she slept.

Police then stopped a vehicle Miller was driving and he admitted to entering the woman’s house, the complaint said. Miller told police he was there to try to meet a different woman he had been in contact with over an online dating app, the complaint said.

Miller was charged with a felony count of criminal trespass-enter structure.

He was arraigned Sunday, and his preliminary hearing is scheduled May 12 in Venango County Central Court.
