Shaundel Young, 48, of Franklin, waived preliminary hearings this week in Venango County Central Court for two drug-related cases. Young faces multiple charges, including drug delivery resulting in death. Arrested on July 9 after a nearly year-long investigation, Young was implicated in selling and distributing crack cocaine. He was later charged with drug delivery resulting in the death of Trapper A. Shuffstall, 41, who overdosed on fentanyl-laced pills on April 18, 2023. The investigation revealed that Shuffstall had visited Young’s residence on the morning of his death. Young, who has a history of narcotics distribution and was on state parole, faces numerous felony and misdemeanor charges related to both the overdose death and cocaine distribution.
