A man from Oil City, Thomas Butryn, 54, is facing charges after allegedly attacking two firefighters who were responding to a call about his seizures on August 5th. According to a criminal complaint, Butryn, who admitted to snorting cocaine before the incident, reportedly swung his fist, tried to bite, and attempted to kick the firefighters. When police arrived, they found the firefighters restraining him. Butryn has been charged with two felony counts of aggravated assault, and his preliminary hearing is set for September 4th in Venango County Central Court.
