“It was very amazing to see my hard work finally pay off. This really showed me I can do anything I put my mind to,” Dehner stated reflecting upon her recent archery-related accomplishments.

In July of 2020, the second leg of the International Bowhunting Organization (IBO)Triple Crown, an archery competition, was hosted at Two Mile Run County Park. Alexis Dehner, a Cranberry student excelled above and beyond, taking home first place in the female youth category in both field and 3D.

“Although I only won one leg of the Triple Crown and not the entire title, I still feel that this success was a small step towards one day winning the Triple Crown title,” Dehner explained.

This victory also resulted in Dehner winning Shooter of the Year, a title she has been working hard to obtain.

Dehner hopes to continue shooting and winning titles to hopefully achieve a professional status in the future.
