Several local people were among the 104 new state police troopers who graduated Friday from the State Police Academy in Hershey and have been assigned to various barracks.
The graduation ceremony at the Scottish Rite Cathedral marked the culmination of 28 weeks of classroom and physical training.
From Venango County, Corey D. Schwab is assigned to Troop E in Corry, Justin L. Marvin is assigned to Troop E in Franklin, Dustin A. Scheerbaum is assigned to Troop D in Butler and Rusty A. Surrena is assigned to Troop E in Warren.
Christopher L. Fox of Clarion County is assigned to Troop B in Washington.
