From staff reports

A Little Free Library will soon be placed outside the Wesley Grange building at 601 Old Route 8 in Harrisville, and it will be added to the world map of free libraries.

The goal of this exchange is to build literacy in the community as well as to encourage everyone to unplug.

Members of Wesley Grange 1675 and Cub Scout Pack 127 joined together in this community service project. Grange member Frank Davis built the structure that will be used to house the books.

Cub Scout parents Ray Wimer and Angelo Lanza along with the Wolf and Lion dens painted the library. It was displayed recently at the Wesley Grange buckwheat cake and sausage supper.

Book donations have already been made by the Balas family and are welcome any time at the grange. Once the exchange is up and running there will be a notebook so readers can write about the books they have read and make suggestions to other readers.
