Franklin
The Franklin Street Department will pick up leaves with the vacuum machines next week in the following areas:
Monday: Greentree area of Franklin Heights; also, bagged leaves will be picked up throughout the city.
Wednesday: 3rd Ward area.
Friday: 3rd Ward area; also, bagged leaves will be picked up throughout the city.
Residents are asked to rake leaves to the edge of their front lawns, not onto the street, for pick-up by city crews. Mechanical breakdowns or inclement weather could cause some delays or rescheduling.
The city also will pick up paper biodegradable bags of leaves (no plastic bags) on Monday and Friday. Anyone with questions should call the city garage, 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Friday, at 437-1600.
Residents are reminded to observe the temporary “No Parking” signs to keep from getting ticketed.
Oil City
Monday — Wyllis (West Front to West First), West First, West Front, West Second (all sections)
Tuesday — Reed, North, Orchard, Hickory, Abbott, Darr, Filson, Mineral, Moran
Wednesday — Central, West Third, Wyllis (West First to West 7th), Smedley, Cowell, Drake, Petroleum, Beech
All cars must be off the posted streets by 7:30 a.m. Cars that are not moved will be ticketed and possibly towed.
Leaves should be raked or blown to the curb and not into the street.
