Inmate held for court on jail vandalism charges

Sebastian Baker, a 17-year-old inmate at the Venango County jail, has been held for court on charges including a felony count of aggravated assault and six misdemeanor counts of institutional vandalism and criminal mischief. According to a criminal complaint by Franklin city police, Baker repeatedly vandalized a jail cell by damaging a glass window pane and a camera, even after repairs were made. He also damaged a thermometer in the jail chapel and was involved in an altercation with a corrections officer, resulting in the officer injuring his thumb. Baker remains in custody at the Venango County jail.
