Last week brought beautiful butterflies, terrific tulips and perfectly pretty posies. When the rain finally stopped, the sun came out and nature showed off her true colors with the most prolific of these being green.
More butterflies have appeared. Spotted, but not necessarily photographed, were spring azures, red admirals, cabbage whites, sulfurs and eastern tiger swallowtails.
The birds appear more active even though the orioles and hummingbirds have yet to make an appearance.
Tulips gained some color and the lilacs will soon fill the air with their fragrance.

The red-spotted newts were spotted out and about.

Sadie tries to decide whether to eat this tulip or not. She then opted for a stick in the yard instead.
