Lisa Hummel, a recently retired band director with 33 years of experience at the Union School District, will lead PennWest-Clarion’s Golden Eagles marching band. A Clarion University alumna, Hummel has a strong connection to the school’s music program, which influenced her decision to take the position despite her plans to remain retired. Hummel aims to foster lifelong learning and lasting friendships through the band experience. The marching band will perform at all home football games and the Autumn Leaf Festival, with practices held during the fall semester. Students can earn a $300 scholarship and physical education credit for participating.
