Franklin state police are investigating a hit-run crash Saturday night on Route 8 in Cornplanter Township.
Police said the vehicle left a private lane and turned onto Route 8 headed south. The vehicle then crossed into the northbound lane and struck a utility pole, police said.
The driver then tried to flee the scene by backing into a ditch and got stuck, police said. The vehicle was then pulled out of a ditch, causing damage to a yard and knocking over a mailbox, police said.
The driver then left the scene and will be charged with numerous traffic violations, police said.
