TITUSVILLE — The schedule for next year’s historical teas at the Tarbell House has been announced. Teas are scheduled at 4 p.m. Fridays, Feb. 10, March 10, April 7, or May 12, at the historic house located at 324 E. Main St., Titusville.
These educational programs are a joint project involving students of Titusville Area School District who prepare the menus, serve the guests, and do so while portraying specific historic characters from Titusville’s and the Oil Region’s past. Students from the Titusville campus of the University of Pittsburgh provide additional re-enactor services. Members of the Friends of the Tarbell House provide supervision during each tea as well as help provide post tea clean-up services on site.
High school senior Audrey Durler of Titusville is cast as the young Ida Tarbell and she welcomes arriving guests and chats with guests throughout the visit. The other characters participating vary
with each event.
Advance reservations are required for these public teas and can be made by calling Marilyn Black at 677-3152, Ext. 105. Admission is $10 per person which is collected at the door on the day of the event.
