The historic, single-lane steel truss bridge over Sugar Creek on Sugar Creek Road is expected to close for a complete renovation on June 27.
The $1,523,000 project will entail dismantling the bridge to clean and preserve, followed by reassembling the bridge.
The 126-foot bridge was built in 1920 and is structurally rated for 28 tons. The project, which also includes putting in new concrete approach slabs, is expected to be completed in early November.
Detours will be marked using Route 322 to Sugar Creek Drive, which is also part of the current Wyattville bridge detour.
Allison Park Contractors Inc. of Gibsonia is the contractor.
