Hearing rescheduled for Clarion man accused of March homicide

The preliminary hearing for a 21-year-old Clarion man facing homicide charges has been rescheduled.

According to online court documents, the hearing for Damien Ditz has been moved from today to Wednesday.

Ditz is charged with homicide in the March 1 shooting death of Curwensville resident Katrina Renee Seaburn, 22, near Lake Lucy, Washington Township.

Ditz faces charges of criminal homicide and aggravated assault, both first-degree felonies, aggravated assault as a second-degree felony; two counts of simple assault as a second-degree misdemeanor; and recklessly endangering another person, also a second-degree misdemeanor.

Ditz was arrested last week.

Seaburn, who was a senior accounting major at Clarion University of Pennsylvania, died from a gunshot wound to the chest.

Police said the shooting took place in a vehicle in the parking area of the Hartzell Trailer Court along Lake Lucy Road.

Bail was denied for Ditz, who remains in the Clarion County Jail.
