Valley Grove School District students from the sixth grade and junior high choirs will sing both the Canadian and U.S. national anthems Saturday at the Erie Otters hockey game.
The Otters game against the Mississauga Steelheads will start at 7 p.m. at Erie Insurance Arena.
Choir directors Kolby Martin and Jodi Hoover have been rehearsing with the students.
Martin heard last year from a fellow teacher that the Otters had a National Anthem program for school choir, and he secured a date for the Valley Grove students to perform.
“Mrs. Hoover and I are grateful to the administration and school board for supporting this trip,” Martin said. “It will be a memorable experience for these students.”
