Grand opening for shoe store; 2 other businesses in new spots

From staff reports

A new shoe store has opened in Cranberry, and two other businesses have moved to new locations in Seneca.

Shoe Sensation, located in a plaza near the Walmart store along Route 322, is holding its grand opening today. Opening festivities will continue through Sunday at the store.

Shoe Sensation sells name-brand footwear for women, men, and children and primarily serves small communities in 16 states. The company’s headquarters are located in the state of Indiana.

Meanwhile, Clark’s Donuts Plus has moved its sales location from a storefront along Route 322 in Cranberry to the company’s production site at 3486 State Route 257, next to the Seneca fire hall.

The move was made this week.

Clark’s Donuts, a longtime business staple in the community, started operations in 1937 at a store on Elm Street in Oil City. Thirty years later, the business moved to Seneca Street in Oil City and expanded its delivery routes.

After several more moves over the years, the company now serves customers in Venango and Clarion counties and makes regular deliveries to the Titusville, Clarion, and Sandy Lake areas.

Terry and Kelly Neidich own the business.

Also making a move to a new location is the Pink Champagne Cupcakery. It shared retail space with the Clark’s Donuts shop along Route 322, but now has its own digs near the Mong’s ice cream shop along Route 257 in Seneca.

The cupcake specialty shop provides other treats such as scones, biscotti, and turnovers.
