Propaganda is a competition that some Cranberry High School students attended on Jan. 16 at IU6 in Clarion.
In this competition, students must identify different forms of propaganda.
Types of propaganda used in this competition include using techniques of language, irrelevance and maneuver.
By correctly identifying forms of propaganda, participants can gain up to four points.
Conversely, players can lose up to two points by incorrectly identifying the propaganda.
The amount of points lost depends on whether the player chose to play bold or cautious.
The 7th and 8th grade team from Cranberry took first place, and the 9th and 10th grade team won second.
Individually, in the 7th and 8th grade division, Dane Wenner took first place and Kelsey Hanna took third.
In the 9th and 10th grade division, Brooke Whitling won second and Ady Carter, third.
