Aqua Pennsylvania on Saturday issued a boil-water advisory for about 180 customers served by Fryburg Water Co. in Washington Township, Clarion County, and Pinegrove Township, Venango County.
Aqua is advising customers in the affected areas to use boiled or bottled water for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes and food preparation until further notice.
Customers will be notified when the advisory is lifted, Aqua said in a news release.
No information regarding the cause for the issuance of the advisory was provided in the release.
It marks the second time this month that a boil-water advisory was issued for Fryburg Water Co. customers. The first advisory was issued as the result of an electrical interruption that caused a loss of positive water pressure in the distribution system.
Information on the full advisory is available at aquawater.com/rhodes. Anyone who has further questions should call Aqua at 877-987-2782.
Montgomery County-based Aqua has been operating the system under an emergency order, or receivership, from the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission.
