Aqua Pennsylvania issued a boil water advisory for Fryburg Water Co. customers after an electrical issue caused a loss of water pressure in the distribution system. Though water service has been restored for most customers, some may still experience disruptions. Aqua advises affected customers to boil water for one minute before using it for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, or washing dishes, or to use bottled water. The advisory, in place to prevent exposure to potential harmful microbes, is expected to last until at least Tuesday. Customers will be informed once the advisory is lifted, and additional safety guidelines are available through the EPA’s Safe Drinking Water Hotline.
