CLARION – The Clarion office of Janney Montgomery Scott has donated $1,000 to the Clarion Area and Clarion-Limestone Children’s Friendship Bag campaign. The donations will be used to aid the Weekend Food Supplement program.
Laura Burford from Trinity Point Church of God (the former Liberty Street Church of God) received $500 to distribute to needy children on three-day weekends at Clarion Area Elementary School.
Tricia Parker and Amy Diehl from the Clarion First United Methodist Church also received $500 to deliver the Friendship Bags to similar students at Clarion-Limestone Elementary School.
Cash and food donations can be made to Trinity Point Church of God and Clarion First United Methodist Church. Preferred food items for children include instant oatmeal packets, individual microwave macaroni and cheese, canned spaghetti and ravioli products, granola bars, peanut butter crackers and individual applesauce cups.
