The annual Friends for Food campaign, a collaboration between Community Services of Venango County and *The Derrick/The News-Herald*, has raised an additional $2,750, bringing this year’s total to $29,836.38. The program helps provide Thanksgiving dinners, including turkeys and other essentials, to families in need, with distribution beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday at the Rocky Grove fire hall. Last year, 1,100 food bags were distributed. Donations are made through newspaper coupons or online, and many contributors honor loved ones through their gifts. The campaign reflects strong community support, with donors from various towns contributing to this vital cause.
