Zachary Covington was installed as the new district governor for Rotary District 7280, taking over from outgoing governor John Marshall. The installation ceremony, hosted by the Franklin Rotary Club, featured speakers who highlighted the club’s 103-year history and outlined Covington’s plans for his term. Mentored by past district governor Judith Hughes, Covington will oversee more than 40 Rotary clubs, guiding projects, membership, and fundraising efforts. The event included surprise performances by Covington’s home church choir, The Messengers, who sang “Do You Believe In Magic” and a song written by Covington about Rotary service.
