The City of Franklin street department will sweep streets next week in the following areas:
Monday – First shift: downtown parking lots
Tuesday – First shift: both sides of Pearl, Elm, Myrtle and Sassafras streets; and 700 block of 14th Street
Wednesday – First shift: S.P.I.F.I.Y Day downtown clean up
Thursday – First shift: both sides of 700 block of 12th, 11th, 10th and 13th streets
Friday – First shift: Miller Sibley area
Residents may see temporary No Parking signs along some streets with times and days the street will be swept.
Sweeper breakdowns or inclement weather may cause delays or rescheduling.
Residents may sweep anti-skid material into piles in front of their property for pickup by city workers. They can call the city maintenance center from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday at (814) 437-1600 to give locations of the piles.
