Franklin School Board president Backer unopposed for PSBA post

Franklin School Board president Sabrina Backer is running unopposed for the 2025 president-elect position of the Pennsylvania School Boards Association (PSBA), with plans to become president in 2026. Backer, a Franklin board member since 2014, has served on various state boards and has been on the PSBA governing board since 2018. Other uncontested PSBA candidates include Matt Vannoy for vice president. Additionally, the Franklin board approved several projects, including using leftover grant funds for door replacements and a no-cost assessment for future district building upgrades. The board also approved several service agreements and formed a committee to review board governance.
