A Franklin man is facing charges for sexually assaulting a young girl.
Shane Biles, 28, is accused of having indecent contact with a child he babysat between 2003 and 2007 when the girl was four to eight years old, according to a criminal complaint filed by Franklin state police.
Biles had indecent contact with the girl on at least three occasions at two residences, one in Sandycreek Township and one in Frenchcreek Township, the complaint said.
Biles was between 12 and 16 years old at the time of the incidents, the complaint said.
During the police investigation Biles admitted to sexually assaulting the girl on one occasion, and his confession was witnessed by multiple people, the complaint said.
Biles has been charged with three felony counts of indecent assault on a person less than 13 years of age.
His preliminary hearing is scheduled Aug. 19 in Venango County Central Court.
