Eric Lawson, 33, from Franklin, was arraigned on charges related to a police chase and subsequent drug possession. On June 18, Franklin police arrested Lawson, who had hidden on a roof, for fleeing police during a high-speed chase on June 4. The chase, which began in Reno and ended in Franklin, involved Lawson racing another vehicle, running red lights, and driving dangerously on sidewalks and in oncoming lanes. During his June 18 arrest, police found methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in Lawson’s possession. He now faces multiple charges, including a felony for fleeing an officer and several traffic violations, as well as misdemeanors for drug possession. Lawson is held in Venango County jail awaiting preliminary hearings.
