Shaundel David Young, a 48-year-old Franklin resident, was arrested on multiple drug-related charges following a nearly year-long investigation by Sugarcreek Borough police and the state Attorney General’s office. Young is accused of selling and distributing crack cocaine since August 2023. The investigation included surveillance and multiple hand-to-hand drug transactions, with informants purchasing crack cocaine that tested positive each time. A search of Young’s home revealed suspected drugs, a large sum of money, and drug paraphernalia. Young faces several felony and misdemeanor charges and is currently held in Venango County jail without bail, with a preliminary hearing scheduled for Wednesday.
