A Franklin man is facing charges after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend during a domestic dispute Tuesday at a residence on Route 417 in Oakland Township.

A criminal complaint filed through District Judge Patrick Lowrey’s office said Franklin state police were dispatched to the home at 2:30 a.m. for a 911 hang-up call.

Upon arrival, police spoke with Jedd Fuller, 25, who said he did not call 911, the complaint said.

Fuller said he had been in an argument with his girlfriend and that she had left the residence, the complaint said.

Police noticed blood on Fuller’s face and toe, but he denied any physical contact between himself and his girlfriend, the complaint said.

Police later made contact with Fuller’s girlfriend at her mother’s residence, and she said an argument ensued after she had gone through Fuller’s computer tablet, the complaint said.

The woman said Fuller threw her against a door and choked her, the complaint said.

The woman said she tried to fight back, but she got punched in the face by Fuller, the complaint said.

Police observed red marks around the woman’s neck and shoulders, in addition to a fat lip, the complaint said.

She was transported to UPMC Northwest for treatment, the complaint said.

Fuller is facing a felony count of strangulation, a misdemeanor count of simple assault and a summary count of harassment.

He was arraigned before Lowrey and placed in Venango County jail on $50,000 bail.

A preliminary hearing is tentatively set for Sept. 20 in Central Court.
