Franklin’s annual Light Up Night, kicking off the Christmas season, will take place on Saturday, Nov. 23. The festivities will include an Electric Lights Parade starting at 6 p.m. at Liberty and 13th streets, followed by fireworks and holiday music in the park. The parade’s theme is “Songs of the Season,” with groups encouraged to decorate floats, costumes, and vehicles accordingly. Prizes will be awarded in four divisions: Churches and Schools, Business, Industry and Retail, Service Organizations, and Decorated Small Vehicles/Walkers. Registration is open until Nov. 1, with details available online or through Franklin City Hall.
