Franklin High School Ceramics Club holds mug show

Franklin Area High School’s Ceramics Club held a nearly two-week mug show titled “Here Come the Mugs” at Iron Furnace in Franklin.

The mug show’s theme was music and featured works of art made from ceramic mugs and other forms of art.

The show took place March 3-14, concluding with the closing ceremony on Friday.

Gary Greenburg, assistant professor of art and ceramics at PennWest-Clarion, picked the winners. Richie Dickson from Weird Fish Records served as disc jockey.

Awards given included: Best of Show, Zoey Stern; first place Professional, Brooke Curik; second place Professional, Amanda DiAlesandro; second place Professional, Kachina Earhart; third place Professional, Chris Bauer; first place Student, Sophia Rondinelli; third place Student, Emma Owens; Honorable Mention, Jada Powers, Sarah Thomas, Taylor McFeely, Riley Brophy
