Franklin City Council’s Monday meeting was relocated to Suite 204 of the Franklin Professional Building due to a $1.2 million renovation project at city hall starting in mid-August. The project involves replacing the heating, air-conditioning system, and lighting, affecting regular meetings of city boards and committees, which will move to alternate locations until completion. City hall’s Community Development Department and other offices have temporarily moved to different suites within the building. The renovations will occur in three stages over six months, with restricted visitor access and a drop box for payments. City Manager Jim Wetzel aims to resume meetings in city hall by January. The project is managed by Considine Biebel & Company of Erie.
