Franklin’s Liberty Fest, the city’s annual celebration of America’s birthday, returns this Wednesday and runs through July 4, concluding with the “Thunder Over Franklin” fireworks display. The festival features three concerts, community events, and the Taste of Talent vocal competition. Highlights include performances by the Franklin Silver Cornet Band, a Children’s Penny Carnival, the Wild World of Animals Show, and the SpongeBob Musical. Additional activities include the Al Fresco Friday concert series, the Franklin Curb Market, the Liberty Fest Parade, and a kids’ ice cream social. The event culminates with fireworks over the Allegheny River on July 4, preceded by a concert by Public Water Supply.
