Four people displaced in Oil City fire

A fire occurred late Friday night at a residence on 107 East Second Street in Oil City, resulting in no injuries but displacing four adults and their pets. The Oil City Fire Department, along with several other local emergency services, responded quickly, extinguishing the fire and ensuring all occupants were safe. The fire, which caused an estimated $25,000 in damage, was accidental and originated externally. The residence lacked functioning smoke detectors, prompting a reminder from Fire Chief Tim Alex for all homes to have working smoke detectors. The displaced residents are now receiving support from family members and the American Red Cross.
