Forest Sheriff’s Office to hold Shop with a Cop

Forest County Sheriff William Carbaugh announced the 12th annual “Shop with a Cop” program, which pairs underprivileged children with local law enforcement to shop for Christmas gifts. Each child is given a $100 allowance to spend on clothing and toys at Walmart. After shopping, the group shares a meal together, and each family receives a gift certificate for a holiday meal from a local grocery store. The program is a nonprofit initiative sponsored by the Sheriff’s Office, and donations can be sent to support it. Interested donors can contribute by sending checks to the Forest County Sheriff’s Office.
