The Cranberry Mall has signed its first tenant for the Christmas season.
The seasonal influx of tenants will continue until November, mall manager Jeff Clark said.
The first to move in is an autographed sports item seller who rented a regular storefront, Clark said.
Last year the mall was packed with Christmas vendors, Clark said. No space, including storefronts and kiosks, was left empty, he said.
This is the first time the mall has featured an autographed sports item seller for the season, Clark said. The retailer has a large inventory, he added.
The mall is planning its usual Christmas display and photos with Santa at Center Court, Clark said.
The mall manager could not say how much additional revenue comes into the mall during the Christmas season as not all the retailers report their sales, he said.
Those seasonal retailers are usually moved out again by the first week of January.
In related news about the mall, recent rumors that a flooring company was purchasing the building or that the mall was getting a new roof aren’t true, Clark said.
