Final two ‘Annie’ shows are this weekend

The production of the always-popular musical “Annie” at the Barrow-Civic Theatre in Franklin wraps up this weekend with performances at 7:30 p.m. today and Saturday. A special performance was held Wednesday for area elementary school aged students, and among the many highlights was this scene of Daddy Warbucks played by Mike Krzmarzick, Annie played by Lainey Smith and Grace played by Bellina Devine singing “NYC” as they walk along the streets of New York after visiting the Roxy Theatre. The students also enjoyed seeing Annie when she performed with her beloved dog Sandy. The show takes the audience back to December 1933 when Annie, living in a New York orphanage, is invited to stay at the Warbucks mansion for the Christmas holiday and wins over everyone with her energy and spirit. Tickets are still available for the last two shows but are selling out fast. They can be purchased online at barrowtheatre.my.salesforce-sites.com/ticket/.
