Festival book sale moved to library; hours corrected

From staff reports

A book sale hosted by Friends of the Oil City Library will be held at the library during the Oil Heritage Festival.

The annual sale has been held in previous years at Christ Episcopal Church but it has been moved to the meeting room in the basement of the library.

Angella Ferry, Sarah Margherio and other members of the Friends group have organized the books and other items that will be sold and put together a team of volunteers to serve at the sale.

There will be many genres of books to choose from, including fiction and non-fiction, arts, history, children’s, how to, reference, cookbooks and more.

All sales will be by donation.

The sale will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday, July 22-23, and from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 24.

There will be forms at the sale for anyone who is interested in joining the Friends of the Oil City Library group.

Besides the annual book sale, the group raises funds to support the library through bake sales and basket raffles.
