PITTSBURGH (AP) – Federal and local authorities have raided eight used electronics shops in and around Pittsburgh.
U.S. Attorney David Hickton announced the raids as FBI, IRS and U.S. Postal Inspectors searched the shops. The search warrant remains under seal and authorities haven’t said what they’re looking for.
The stores raided included five Ninja Electronics stores in Pittsburgh, Dormont and Ross Township; The Outlet, in Dormont; Last Call Entertainment in Bellevue; and 412Flip LLC, also in Pittsburgh.
Nobody answered the phone at the stores after Wednesday’s raids nor again Thursday morning.
It wasn’t immediately clear who owns the stores or whether they’re owned by the same person or are otherwise affiliated.
All sell used video game systems and other equipment.
