The first-ever Farm to Fork event, organized by the Venango County Dairy Princess and the Maddie Johnson Memorial Fund, will take place this Thursday at Forever Farm in Franklin. The event will feature a variety of locally sourced foods, including beef, pork, chicken, lamb, goat, cheese curds, flavored milk, and ice cream. Culinary students from the Venango Technology Center will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience by preparing and serving the food. Attendees will also learn about the significance of locally sourced agriculture, with the Venango Dairy Princess educating guests on the role of dairy in everyday diets. The event will include a loaded mac and cheese bar, cheesecake, apple crisp, raffles, live music, and will raise funds for agricultural education initiatives.
