The Venango County Recovery Celebration committee will hold its fifth annual celebration for the community today.
The event will be held from 3:30 to 7 p.m. in Franklin’s Bandstand Park next to the county courthouse. The celebration will focus on community members, first responders, the health care community and youth and emerging leaders, highlighting various entities that support recovery within the community.
Information tables and children’s activities will be available from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Speakers will be featured from 4:45 to 7 p.m.
September is National Recovery Month. This is the 30th annual observance of the national movement Celebrate Recovery, which promotes the message that recovery from hurt, pain and addiction is possible.
