Emlenton man facing charges after Rockmere disturbance

Benjamin Bodimer Jr., 42, from Emlenton, is facing charges after an incident on Saturday night in Rockmere where he allegedly disturbed the Cranberry Township community by playing loud music and firing a gun between 10:30 p.m. and 2 a.m. Despite multiple warnings from police, including a call to his cell phone, Bodimer refused to stop and told the officers to “lose his number.” Police later arrested him after sneaking up on his location, finding him intoxicated near spent shotgun shells and liquor bottles. Bodimer, who is prohibited from owning a firearm due to a prior conviction, was charged with a felony for possessing a weapon and two misdemeanors for disorderly conduct. He remains in Venango County jail after failing to post bail, with a preliminary hearing set for Wednesday.
