Community Blood Bank will hold an emergency blood drive from 2 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the former Verizon store in the Cranberry Mall.
The blood bank said most blood types are at fewer than a one-day supply.
About 35% of the organizations that hold blood drives are not operating on-site or have limited operations, which will result in an expected loss of nearly 1,000 units of blood for May and June.
All donors are required to wear a facial covering. Donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in overall good health.
People who wish to donate are being encouraged by the blood bank to make an appointment, but walk-ins will be welcomed. To make an appointment, call (716) 450-0376.
