From staff reports
Elm Street in Oil City reopened Friday evening, but another closure will take effect today.
Elm Street, beginning at Center Street, had been closed for the past two weeks as crews from Michigan-based Homrich Wrecking started to demolish the condemned parking garage.
Lane restrictions on Elm and Seneca streets near the structure will remain in place.
Starting at 6 a.m. Monday, Duncomb Street will be closed from Elm Street to Seneca Street. The closure is expected to remain until the completion of the demolition work in June.
A detour will be posted using Center Street, the Route 8 bypass and North Seneca Street.
PennDOT is urging motorists to slow down when driving in work zones and also to be alert to changing conditions, avoid distractions and pay attention to signs and flaggers.
