An Oil City man who was arrested nearly two weeks ago for 20 drug-related offenses is facing more charges following an incident Friday at the Venango County jail.
Franklin police said officers reported to the jail Monday to serve an arrest warrant on inmate Antonyo Harris, 30, for aggravated harassment by a prisoner and falsely incriminating another.
Harris was arraigned before district judge Matthew Kirtland and then processed at the Franklin police department before being taken back to the jail.
A preliminary hearing in that case is scheduled Wednesday in Venango County Central Court.
Harris is one of 13 defendants who were arrested at the end of March for being associated with a group that engaged in the trafficking of controlled substances such as marijuana, cocaine and heroin in and around Venango County since May 2015.
Harris was charged with one count of conspiracy, one count of corrupt organizations-employee, eight counts of manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver, seven counts of possession of a controlled substance, one count of criminal use of communication facility, one count of knowledge that property is proceeds of an illegal act and one count of dealing in proceeds of unlawful activities.
Preliminary hearings for all 13 defendants had been scheduled last Wednesday but were continued. They are now scheduled May 25 in Central Court.
