Dinner for fireman sold out quickly

From staff reports

A chicken dinner fundraiser for an injured Clintonville volunteer firefighter sold out in less than an hour Tuesday at the Clintonville fire hall.

Clintonville fire chief Grant Rea said Forest Fire BBQ sold 465 dinners to raise money for Justin Williams, 25, of Kennerdell, who was struck by a vehicle one week ago while responding to an Interstate 80 crash on the Emlenton Bridge.

Rea said about 500 people then had to be turned away as others continued to arrive for the fundraiser.

A Facebook post by Williams’ fiancee, Emily Matthews, said new tests are looking good with Williams waking up more and starting some physical therapy.
