From staff reports
The Oil City Salvation Army Dental Center is preparing for its annual Give Kids A Smile Day that will be held Wednesday, April 18, at the center at 217 Sycamore St.
This year the day will feature additional support provided by Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh, and the UPMC mobile van will also be present.
About 280 children from the ages of 3 months up to 18 years were served last year, and the center hopes to serve about 350 children this year with the additional help.
Children will participate in games, crafts, preventative education in oral health and personal safety, and they will have access to dental services at the center.
Those who want more information or who what to register their children can contact the dental center at (814) 670-0374.
This event is held in cooperation with the Salvation Army Oil City Worship and Service Center and Dental Center, The Dental Health Task Force and various community sponsors.
Volunteers and support will be provided by various area agencies and business.
Help is available to those who are underinsured or without insurance.
