Thomas School of Dance will present its 43rd annual Dance-O-Rama on at 1 and 7 p.m. Saturday, June 3, at the Oil City High School auditorium.
The show will feature dance students ages 3 to 18, who will perform tap, ballet, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, pre-pointe, pointe and preschool expression.
Students at the Thomas School of Dance attend weekly dance classes starting in September to advance their skills. The recital is the culmination of their many hours of work, according to Sherry Thomas, owner and artistic director of the dance school.
The dancers will get the show started with a special jazz and tap opening number to a medley of Michael Jackson songs. All the students will come back to the stage at the end of the show for a choreographed finale to “Can’t Stop the Feeling.”
The teaching staff at the dance school includes Kelly McClelland, Kelly Zerbe, Shannon Brancato, Sarah Creighton and Kenzie Brancato, along with student teachers Heather Hondel and Emily Powell. The staff is completed by student assistant Layla Hollis and student helpers Gracie Hollis, Lizzy Hoovler and Alexandra Webster.
