A three-vehicle crash on River Hill in Clarion Township Saturday evening left one person dead and another seriously injured. Tammy Zacherl, 53, succumbed to her injuries at Clarion Hospital, while David Smith, 64, and Joseph Zacherl, 19, sustained serious and possible injuries, respectively. The crash occurred when Smith’s vehicle crossed the center line, striking Zacherl’s car, which was then hit from behind by a third vehicle. Emergency crews and multiple agencies responded, closing the road for nearly five hours.
