Cranberry’s Cam Russell, an Inspiration

Last Friday, the Oil City Oilers took on the Beavers from Dubois. After an Oiler’s victory, the teams were leaving the field when Oiler, Cameron Russell, noticed a member of the opposing team, Zach Shilala, had been injured during the game. Instead of rushing to celebrate the victory with his teammates, Russell went to assist A fellow player off the field.

It’s acts of kindness such as this that remind us of how impactful camaraderie can be. Russell has become a large inspiration for the sportsmanship players should have. He has made his family and all of his fellow students at Cranberry High School very proud.

Come out to support Cam and his team at the homecoming game Friday, Sept. 27. It will be a white out student section.

Go Oilers!
